Updates

Ytd was e beginning of the Track and field Nationals. Results as follow:

Jumps: Si Ya (captain) got 3rd in e finals. Which means she's 3rd in Singpore. =)
Sprints: Elfi 2nd in his heats, Yaw Vwee 3rd in his heats, Joel 4th in his heats. Elfi and Yaw Vwee gt thru to e semis.
Throwers: Justin got into top 8 in e finals
Relays: Boys team came in 3rd. Girls team came in 6/7th.. nt sure. But both teams qualified.

Captain's achievement is seriously fantastic. Despite her back pbms. Am darn happy fr her achievement. Justin's nt bad too.. cos heard tt he was initially a bballer and only joined us last yr Dec. Elfi came in 2nd bcos he was up against some dude called Lance frm VJ. And I heard he's a 11.1s sprinter. So Elfi's capability so be se near him at e finish line isn't bad at all. Sad to say, I think smth went wrong w/ Joel.. perhaps nt on form tt day. Our boys relays is really nt bad. I think so. Cos VJ's disqualified. And up against us is only RJ, TJ and CJ. If we can beat CJ or TJ, we'll emerge 3rd. Which is really nt bad already. Girls relays wasn't at our best but still we gt thru. Kes put in her best so we still pulled thru. Had to sub Siya's 2nd leg cos of her back pains. Sighs. But still we managed to get into finals cos Kes did her best. Really impressive. Cos she isn't a sprinter. Must hv been stressful fr her to do 2nd leg. But Liyana was good fr 1st leg so we managed it. Of cos Nora also did pretty well and Genever shortened e timing. Hahas.. overall. Its pretty gd fr a 1st day. We hv to prove tt we're just as gd as other schs larr.. and tpj is nt acheiving in the area of performing arts. =) If e princpal does nt credit us fr this. Then she deserve to eat shit. Wahahhas..

Today, me, Joel, Vui Sin, Elfi, Genever, Pratibha, Hai hui, Amir and Edward went dwn to S'pore sports council fr a talk by this 400m hurdles gold medalist back in 1984 and also record holder if I'm nt wrong. Told us of her experience and such. She's a really nice lady. And e ppl there are athletics too. One of the gals can do 12.7s. Tt's really fast even tho she's nearing 20 years old. Hahas.. Took pics w/ her as a team. Got her name card and signature. She's encouraging and persuasive. I guess she'll be my icon of persuasion frm now on. Hahas.. Cool~ Aft the talk went home on bus 12. It took years to reach Pasir Ris. YAWNS. Then had dinner. Watched tv and slack online. Chatting w/ her now. Kk.. gtg. Update again soon. Cya.
